Medium Category (Multi Rotor) comprehensive training course.
Type-specific training in this exciting category of Multi-Rotor flight. Our course has 2 main elements, training and the type rating itself.
The training comprises of an online knowledge check to help you identify the key components of the RPA you are being tested on, as well as some general rules and concepts relating to the Medium Category. The practical training solidifies this knowledge of the aircraft, as well as allowing you to gain the practical experience of flying and operating the RPA. This is done through practicing several flight sequences as well as using the specific components of the RPA, such as setting automated flights and operating the various payloads.
Once the instructor is confident, you will move onto your type rating test. You will be asked a number of questions relating to the aircraft, as well as being required to demonstrate the practical skills you have learned. The instructor is unable to assist or coach you in the type rating. For this reason, we strongly suggest you book training, rather than going straight to a type rating only. However, if you are a confident RPA pilot with experience in the Medium Category, skipping to the type rating may be the best option for you.

Also worth noting that if you have Zero flight experience at all, on any category or size of unmanned aircraft, we can take you all the way with your initial RePL in the 25kg category which is a requirement of the medium category. Once you've completed that, we can then continue into your Medium Category training - often during the same week if required.
